EXPORT MANAGERS' INDEX Q1: Uncertain outlook

Business Sweden's Export Managers’ Index (EMI) showed an uptick in the first quarter after two quarters of falling results. EMI rose by 1.1 points to 49.9. Despite strengthened views of current performance, export companies have a bleak outlook on the future. A bright spot was the sharp rise in the subindex for expected export demand from Western Europe.
